Bryggen

Another pre-breakfast run, this time 5 miles through the sodden streets of Bergen. Thence onto the Funicular up Mount Floyen to gaze at the city view between snow showers.
After a lovely walk back down through dripping woods, we visited the Hanseatic Museum to learn about the Bryggen district.

In the afternoon there was an angry and vocal crowd of protesters outside these ancient Unesco Site buildings. They were voicing their disapproval at the city council's decision to approve plans for a tram line passing along the front. Sounds familiar!
