Picnic

Today we made the most of the sun and went to a picnic spot in the mountains.

The children went scavenging for old bits of food left by other picnickers, found an old saucepan in our car to which they added mud and water, built a 'fire' and had a picnic using bits of cardboard for plates (but don't worry they didn't eat anything).

They are a little odd at times, but very happy to make up bizarre games!

I'm happy that J and I get to sit and read for a bit.
