Wonderful film. I remember my father telling me about Trumbo, and others, when he heard he had died. A vicious time, and seeing photos and film clips of Reagan, Nixon and McCarthy reminded me of my father and his disgust, but also his despair, of the hypocrisy and abuse of power by the self righteous, self serving individuals who ran those Committees and the cruelty and long lasting damage they inflicted on others.
