Migrant in Moscow

By Migrant

Grim reality

A prison cell in the former KGB headquarters in Riga.  Known infamously as "the Corner House", the building operated from June 1940 - when the Soviet Union occupied Latvia - until mid-1941 when driven out by Nazi Germany, and again from 1944 when the Soviets returned until Latvia regained its independence in 1991.  A stark and sobering experience to say the least.
