Collard Dove

I love these pretty birds, we have two in the garden
this is a young one, he sat in the tree until the bird
table was filled, then got stuck in.
The current population 210.000 in Britain and 10.ooo
in Ireland, they breed between February and October
with rather more in May, once the young have left the
nest they are on there own after about a week.
I would love to get a shot of them in flight the detail
on the tail feathers is amazing...Lesson over...thank
god I hear you say Im full of useless shyte like this...
