Lizard and the birthday cake

In Australia I think most people would be familiar with the old saying "flat out like a lizard drinking"! Well this little lizard was "flat out" eating birthday cake. My lovely daughter had made me a yummy chocolate cake and iced it with chocolate butter icing and brought it over this morning. As it was rather hot inside  we found a cool spot in the shade near the back garden to have our cake and coffee. Next minute there was great excitement from the two little grandchildren when they noticed this tiny little lizard (not much bigger than the length of my middle finger) helping himself to the leftovers. I would have loved to get a shot with his little tongue out lapping up the choc icing but missed that. We have a great video though which shows the whole thing - so hilarious. We decided to take the plate away as we thought the icing might make him sick, he wasn't happy and tried to follow the plate!
