selfportrait mondays 46::52
Thanks for all the comments/good luck wishes yesterday. The lesson went well, although we did have 3 (very minor!) fingercuts. Thanks Mr Smith for the tip of the first aid box. Something very simple, but something I hadn't thought about. I did make sure one was handy and we did use it.
Since it's my SP monday, I thought I should post an SP here. Not a very flattering one, but alas the only one I made today. But that's really only my concern, 'cause to the viewer it matters zilch whether I look flattering or not, so here goes. I was asked to do the schoolpicture for the christmas card. I used my fisheye to get everybody in. So I used the same for this SP
Also on request the result of yesterday's hard work. I'm very proud of my class. It's my first year as an A&C teacher, so I had no idea how long they would take cutting, but that went pretty quick, so we got round to some inking as well. That's the reason I had my mind set on this project. I knew the cutting would be quite dangerous & difficult for this age group, but there is nothing quite like inking a persplex plate, rolling out the ink, inking your linoleum/rubber cut, putting on paper, roll over it with a dry roller and than the magic of pulling off the paper. It's already magic if you do it yourself, but seeing the kids do it...
