Derelict Sunday - Garden Fence

I didn't have to go far to get today's Derelict Sunday blip.

This is the current sorry state of our front garden fence. It was built for us about 25 years ago by our wonderful local joiner, Keith. He did a fabulous job, but a combination of wet rot and recent windy weather have played havoc with it. Just over a year ago I had to add some further support to it (see this blip) but, although that part of the fence still remains (moderately) upright, even that (plus ropes and a strap to tie it to adjacent trees) couldn't prevent the gatepost and end piece of the fence from collapsing recently.

Keith's going to come back and make us a new one - but tying him down is tricky; like most craftsmen who do superb work he's always very busy!
