Off the Leash
Backblipping last week:
This was taken near Roundstone, on the first evening of a little holiday: myself and two close friends, one of them a cousin, P. I had booked us into Foyles Hotel in Clifden for three days, Friday till Sunday.
The weather was nearly everything we wouldn't wish for, bar the few odd hours of fleeting brightness. But it was mostly warm, and we enjoyed the trip (in two cars, as my friend/cousin P wished to take plenty of painting material, canvasses, etc. (none of which got used as it happens). He also needed to be back a bit earlier than myself and C, so it made sense.
Holidays like this, with friends as close as these, awaken our inner adolescent (who is never really asleep anyway). We filmed P from C's car, making various faces, gurning, sticking pencils up his nose, anything to get a laugh. And we did laugh, lots, lorryloads of worry, strife, years, sliding off each time. I watched while P and C dived and swam in one of the nearby beaches, then back to Clifden for a lovely fish supper and drinks.
