Sea running in

There was quite a sea running this morning........despite the fact that there was no wind.
Geographers would call these "destructive waves" because they were dragging the stones and pebbles from the beach and out to sea..... exposing some sand.
However, further along the coast, where there is a build up of sea weed......the waves were having a minimum impact.
It's interesting about this sea weed, many residents have complained about it being left on the beach during the winter, because it is unsightly......however, the local council has....rightly, as it happens....decided that the weed will actually prevent erosion of the beach.....and that was very clearly happening this morning.
