Walking past the Recreation Ground.

On our walk this afternoon we passed the recreation ground and read the information on the plaque telling us how Trawden came to have it.
Mrs Elizabeth Hartley donated the land to the people of Trawden in 1922 as a War Memorial.

The recreation ground is also the venue for Trawden Agricultural Show which will be in early August.

It has been a lovely day today and we enjoyed our walk.
