Goldeneye female

Couple of years ago I put a bird house for goldeneye in our place on the lake. Nobody has ever nested there so far. Now there has been few times a female goldeneye close to the bird house. Let's see if next summer they are going to nest there. I've understood that before the goldeneye females go south they look for the nesting places for next summer.
