Methinks it, finally, dies.

In all honesty I cannot remember exactly when it was felled. I do know it was some significant time prior to this.
About 12 months later this was it.
It has seen "the light of Blip" a time or two since.
Recently, I noticed what resembled a growth of treacle around the base of a pot I stood there to keep the persistent growths in check. I had to exert some considerable HEAVE to separate pot and stand to see this lot beneath.
