Thanks, Mom!

It was a big effort for her to travel to see us, planning this for months and months. And what did I do with this great gift of a visit? Put her to work, of course! She was an awesome trooper pulling weeds and collecting zucchini & cucumbers earlier this morning. We then turned our attention to making refrigerator pickles. We also made at least two-year's supply of homemade pesto (the bucket shows just a fraction collected from the garden). It was a great way to beat the heat, too!

For dinner, we grilled homemade pesto pizza topped with pepperoni, black olives, onions, feta, tomatoes, and ham. Delicious!
