Cactus Flower Bud

I'm not sure whether this lonely little guy is going to bloom tomorrow, but what I do know is that it won't be in much sunlight.

It turned dreary yesterday and has been since. It's expected to continue.

I've had to lower my thermostat at night now because the increased monsoon humidity has made sleeping too uncomfortable. Temps are still hovering around the average high of 101F/38C.

Just over five weeks until my vacation. Soon I'll start counting the days.
