For the People....

Today we are celebrating. Keith and I are very proud to be two of the almost 40,000 New Zealanders who dug in their pockets to make a donation to ensure that the beautiful Awaroa Beach is retained as public property. The Give a Little campaign fronted by Duane and Adam has been successful. New Zealanders raised over $2.25 million in donations. The Government came to the party with $350.000 and a Charitable Trust donated the remaining $250.000.
Our family has visited the Awaroa area many times over the years and we have happy memories of its remote beauty. Well done and arohanui to all who have worked so hard to make this Crowd Funding campaign so successful. I am proud to be a Kiwi.
