Biking through the country

We explored a lot of the rural countryside today as we took a bike tour through the islands. We had so much fun- we cycled through villages, past rice fields and over the river along rickety bamboo bridges (very scary!). We enjoyed lunch in a locals home where they cooked us a lovely fish and rice dish, finished with some fresh mango. Along the way we made a few stops to learn about the local artisans, craftsmen and mat weavers. We also sampled some rice wine, which was a lot stronger than I thought it would be.
