The Next Steps

Hi to everyone from Annie, Bob, Graham and Ian and a massive thank you from us to you all for your responses to the news last week. 
 
As you can imagine we are really chuffed we’ve been able to complete the purchase.  We’re still working behind the scenes, taking full control of the operation of the site.  We are being helped by the site’s main developer, as well as the creator of the Android app, to get things moving.
 
We recognise that members are keen to see things happen and so are we.  We’re progressing as quickly as we can but we are asking for your patience as this will all take time and we need to take care to make sure it doesn’t cause any unforeseen impacts.  There is no longer a large staff team dedicated to Blipfoto to deliver everything.  We at Blipfuture are doing everything in our spare time.  We still have a lot of admin around the crowdfunding to tidy up, as well as lots of learning to do and systems to put in place.  All this is being done to ensure we work efficiently and can bring volunteers on board to build a long term sustainable operation.
 
Now that Blipfoto is community owned, here is some of what you can expect to see happening in the coming weeks and months:
 
·      The removal of references to Polaroid on the site.  With the change in ownership we must remove this as we have no licence arrangement with that company.
·      Updated Android and iOS apps with the removal of Polaroid references
·      Information on contacting the team, and how support will work in the future
·      Consultation on paid memberships
·      Recruitment of an additional director to the board
·      A new event to celebrate community ownership
·      Issue of Share Certificates to investors
 
In the longer term, and we’re talking months rather than weeks now:
 
·      New paid membership launched
·      Delivery of pledge icons on the Blipfoto site
·      Recruitment of volunteers to help with various aspects of running the site
·      Consultation on priorities for the future
 

We are also wanted to remind you that we are into the last week of crowdfunding at https://www.blipfuture.com.  This will be your final opportunity to pledge, gain rewards and support this campaign.  We currently have no plans to offer shares again in the future, so this may be your last chance to be a shareholder in Blipfoto.
