Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Last day

Another beautiful morning in the sunshine for Archie and I before Julie came to take him out. After his usual hysterical welcome and they'd both set off for the day, I took a sudden notion to clean the path, sweep the leaves, and I even did some weeding. I could manage the weeding by hanging on to the brush handle and tipping over just far enough. Spring must be in the air!

I had another go at changing my network provider, and this time it was successful. Don't know what was wrong last time, when I couldn't get anywhere. A good job done.

I then popped up to the pool to swim. I did my half hour, although not twenty lengths. I spent a while doing underwater cycling while I chatted to the only other person in the slow lane. She was just off a plane from Mexico, where she lives. She's English, met and married a Mexican professor while she taught in Spain. We had a good chat about the country, because we spent some time there, and were tempted to up sticks and live there... but good sense prevailed. The name Trump was mentioned...

Back home to finish off the delicious clotted cream rice I accidentally bought yesterday, then we watched the Aussie melodrama. What an ending to Series Two!!

I have to go and pack my bags for tomorrow - an early start. JR will drop me off at the hospital early, where I will probably spend the morning sitting around waiting.

My last day with my gammy knee! Yippee!

I've just noticed that blind dogs and 'therapeutic dogs' are allowed in the wards... Well, Archie's definitely therapeutic!

The only photo I took today - a selfie! Eeek!
