Waterfoot Sunrise

Cool Blue

Another lovely day here in Carradale with lots of sunshine. although it was hazy at times. Spent the morning scraping the tin roof of the Heritage Centre prior to it being painted. There was a fair bit of heat from the sun made even warmer by the reflected heat from the roof. I felt a bit like the proverbial cat on a hot tin roof!

After a late afternoon meeting at the local Abbeyfield House, I headed down to the pier in search of a blip. As you drive down the hill towards it, there is always a sense of anticipation as to what you might see. I can remember feeling the same when I was a wee boy, although I would be thinking more about catching some fish off the side of the tied up boat, rather than a potential blip. As soon as the view opened up and I saw the red boats against the blue sky and reflections in the calm water, I knew I had a blip in the making. I settled on this one, which strangely enough makes me think of a winter scene from a more northerly country, rather than summer in the West of Scotland!

Decided to make the most of the fine weather and headed out this evening with Mrs B for a sail across the Bay and down to Torrisdale. Not a lot of wind about, but great to be out on the sea on a perfect summer's evening.
