February storm....

Our storm didn't quite materialize, it bypassed us slightly. I took the bus and train in today, not wanting to drive. My sweetie stayed home 1 more day to shake this bug. When I left the house very early this morning it was freezing rain and the sidewalks and roads were black ice. It was snowing downtown until late morning and then it switched to rain, it was gross. The afternoon saw sheets of flat ice about a foot square flying off the windows of the tall skyscrapers and fluttering down before breaking apart - I have never seen anything like it. This shot shows the fog/steam plume immediately swallowimg up commuters as they step through. Good and very busy day of meetings with a lovely quarterly lunch out with some good friends. Grocery shopping tonight and laying low, this kind of weather encourages 'playing igloo'.
