Climbing back up

to the bus stop, after a wonderful lunch at the Doca do Cavacas, with Picture Poems and her husband.

We walked along the coastal path, wandered through the caves, and relaxed in the sun in this marvellous restaurant, perched halfway down the cliff.

And we had the special dessert, Pudim de Maracuja (though PP and I shared one)

On the way we tried to photograph the local finches with the funny red beaks. They kept dodging us. I got a couple of shots but most of mine show where they were when I pointed the Lumix. I hope PP will be able to blip hers.

EDIT: They aren't finches at all, in spite of what the lady biologist said yesterday. They are the "common waxbill", according to Wikipedia, who have rather a good photo.
