Summer at last

It might only be one day but I'll take it anyway. What a gorgeous day it was here. It was an early but relaxing start to the day with breakfast and some reading in the garden. Stuart and I then went for a walk down to the village to do some errands before lunch. Pace in the afternoon was a bit more hectic with lots of gardening, for me at any rate, while Stuart still read.

Today's image is of our local parish kirk. I love this building, it's a lovely church inside too. I was christened here, married here and Stuart was also christened here so, although not as regular an attender as I once was, it's always been an important part of my life.

Here's hoping we get an extended summer and have some more of the same tomorrow!
