Mr and Mrs Quack!

A fabulous morning for a walk. The sun was up as we set off at 7.15am and a very hard frost made the ground firm.

My neighbour, D and I were the only ones to stop at the feeding station and today there were quite a number of Canada Geese, which haven't been apparent for a while, as well as the ducks and our gorgeous but truculent swan was busy seeing them off as usual. To escape the feeding frenzy in the water this pair climbed onto the frosty deck to chance their luck at getting a bit of breakfast.

( The rest of the day was taken up with the funeral of an elderly neighbour and now we are having a rest before tonights's Panto performance - weekend two here we come.)
