Newcastle/Gateshead

A fleeting visit to Newcastle/Gateshead on our way to Edinburgh for the weekend. After calling in at the Angel on the way North, I managed a lengthy stroll along the Tyne, crossing numerous bridges on the way. A silhouette of the Tyne Bridge was vetoed by my Blip Selection Committee, after a very short meeting.

I noticed that a traditional hairdresser is unable to decide between "Gentlemans" and "Gentlemens." Of course, both are wrong. There was a good selection of street art, including an unlikely couple, lurking round the back of the Sage. I was not the only photographer enjoying today's light but I was happy not to be lugging a tripod around with me.

Another silhouette, harshly rejected after a so-called democratic process, was, I thought, a winning combination of the Sage and the Tyne Bridge.
