Isolations 5 : Love's Locks Lost, Aylesford

This lock reminded me of a recent story I saw in the newspaper. Apparently, quite a few bridges in well known tourist locations have become covered in locks that couples have attached to them as expressions of their love for each other. Part of the ritual involves throwing the key into the river below. The problem is that this has proved so popular in some instances that the sheer weight of those locks has caused structural damage to the bridges themselves and workers have had to spend many hours removing them all so that they don't collapse completely!
