Sudbury

G's Mum loves Travel Zoo and bought us an overnight stay in a hotel in Sudbury for Christmas. It was a wet and grey day, but we had a great time stuffing ourselves with the included cream tea, then braved the rain for a trip to the rather dull Gainsborough's house and quick explore.of the town before taking shelter in the pub. The rain had eased by the time we finished our over-priced beers; enough for a walk over the watermeadows. We spent the evening stuffing ourselves again on the included three-course meal, and snuck g&t's up to the room to avoid all the posho's in the bar.
