A walk in the woods

Another beautiful day and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to make the most it, at least for an hour this morning, by taking the dogs for a walk over the common. If you look closely at this picture of a wooded part of our route you will see Basil in a cameo role.

I did more skeleton stuff for the rest of the day and then it was drawing class this evening. We had to do three sketches of the same thing using three different methods: a continuous line drawing using a Biro, and sketches using pencils and then charcoal. I got on much better than last week and really enjoyed my first ever attempt at charcoal. I must get some of my own so that I can practise!
