Turning Point

By MamaFi

A pause on my four and a half hour hike!

I delivered Hamish at Drumoig to play golf and told him "I'm going for a walk and may be some time.". I was on a mission to find an early chanterelle or two for supper, so set off to one of my favourite places where there are always delicious discoveries on route. The ground was very muddy and slimy which meant it took three times as long to reach the top of the hill where I blipped. You can see St Andrews in the distance on the right.

I stopped several times on my journey to take photographs for an album to send to my son Russell. He is based in South Africa but travels the world with his work. I know that there is nowhere on earth that he would rather have been than with Bow Wow and me this afternoon.

Did I find the odd chanterelle? That's a secret. I can tell you that my lips were stained blue with blaeberries!
