Day 16 - Joy - #rethinkchurch #rethinkphoto

We're studying this book based on the film Les Miserables, not exactly joyful.

The film took a bit longer than planned so we're a week behind schedule, so tonight was our first discussion.

Yet again it is brought home that we haven't really moved on from the stories in the Bible, the world still has the poor & oppressed. The fringes of society who are exploited.

And yet in our day to day lives we can so easily overlook and keep our heads in the sand and think it's not happening.

An interesting discussion that I didn't contribute much too as it was requiring a bit more knowledge of the Bible than I have.

We did look at the lyrics of castle on a cloud and how it is about the young Cosette & her safe place that she dreams of, where there are no tears and she is loved - don't we all?
