painting the modern garden

in the 1940s a friend of my parents would get bunches of daffodils and stick them in his window boxes whenever he was having a cocktail party....which is another type of modern garden i suppose.

to anyone who, like me, won't get up to London to see this exhibition, i recommend this catalogue.  it's full of beautiful images.
