Beneath the bridge

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge spans the distance from Shockoe Hill (VCU Medical Center) to Church Hill (largely residential). It crosses over Interstate 95, several sets of railroad tracks, and a couple of small roads. At present it is a fairly barren expanse made of cement and chain link fence. Yet, I find myself attracted to it. The whole thing has a very urban feel to it; almost reminiscent of Hollywood depictions of Detroit.

Most unique about this bridge is the fact that there is a road running below it that passes between the piers.
