Dog's Breakfast

Bad times when you've no bowls left and you have to use your dog's one!

I got up early this morning, partly because I woke at 7am, and also because I had a lot to do.

I managed to fit in a nice bath and hair wash, breakfast, a phone call with my mortgage advisor, and then a brisk dog walk and a stop at the Nook to buy cake ;-)

It was all a bit rushed as I had arranged to go in to do parents evening tonight. I cannot tell you how worried I was about going back, but the evening went well, and there were lots of happy parents. I managed to resist the mid-evening pizza party, but it was nice to catch up with some friends in the all too brief 20 minutes break. My boss is nice like that, as she has instigated a break midway though, and orders a selection of large pizzas to keep us going ;-) I'm sticking to my diet, but she does go and hunt down those still talking, to make sure that they get a break. I think it shows she cares about her staff, and I like that.

It was freezing when I finished, and I was so cold when I got home. I was a bit manic, and had a quick bath, and then my mum made us scrambled egg on toast, as it was just the two of us.

I then felt really sick, and absolutely exhausted! To the extent that by 9:30pm I was in bed, eyes closed, and feeling disproportionately tired. I even slept with my door open, I was too tired to close it.

My mum thinks that I've overdone it. But on the plus side, that was my best night's sleep in the last couple of weeks, even if I did have to get up at 6:30am the next day!
