Pooley Bridge

When we set off this morning we didn't know where we were heading as Saturday is usually train spotting day. The steam trains are not running at the moment until they get their licencing problems sorted. We ended up having breakfast in Pooley Bridge and saw how they are getting on with the temporary bridge. They are putting the last span on tomorrow so are expecting a lot of spectators, it is hoped it will be operational in about 3 weeks in time for Easter.
We then had a drive up the side of Ullswater and walked to the top of Hallin Fell, I was quite pleased with myself, got to the top without a rest, better than last time I did it.
All in all a lovely day out.
