Quays are key ...

The Salford Quays area has taken the Salford area a long way from Walter Greenwood's Love on the Dole. Here you can see parts of Media City, dominated by the Beeb but you can also see part of the ITV installations. Just out of shot is the [new] Coronation Street set. The old Manchester Ship Canal runs through here and, together with the numerous channels and basins and the large number of affluent residents who put out bird feeders in their luscious gardens, makes this a great place for spotting birds.
