Going Back In Time

A visit to Chawton to go to the house where Jane Austin did most of her writing. These 'dressing up' clothes were kindly made available for visitors to try. We tried on the hats and wondered if any one donned the full out fit for their visit but resisted the temptation ourselves! We also made lavender bags and tried writing with ink and a quill. A fascinating and really charming house and garden.
