Funky lampposts and some old wood?

Went a walk down the Thames Path because it was a beautiful afternoon (if a bit chilly). 

Saw these lampposts and couldn't help thinking they were a bit strange and they completed the view over to the Shard and the Gherkin. 

Came across the launching platform believed to have been left behind from Isambard Kingdom Brunel's time when he witnessed many unsuccessful attempts to launch The Great Eastern. I do learn new things-honest!
