An Edinburgh Hero, more Olympic thoughts..........

Went to The Eric Liddell Centre in Bruntsfiels today, where they have a good exhibition about Eric Liddell's life. He studied in Edinburgh, lived locally to Bruntsfield and had a strong belief in service to the local community. I am glad that this centre which provides a specialist caring service has taken his name. The exhibition has some lovely old photos of Liddell in China, and also winning the 400 metres Olympic gold in 1924-setting a new world record. The story of not running the 100 metres, and doing what he knew to be right is a good one.
