Penhurst Church
My friend took me to her church this morning - a delightful Early Saxon building a few miles from the site of the Battle of Hastings
The snowdrops and daffodils were beautiful in the churchyard but my favourite blip was the one I've posted. It's taken from behind the lectern looking through an opening to the plain alter with an equally plain cross - simply beautiful.
There is still some graffiti evidence of pilgrims passing through on their way from Salisbury to Canterbury
Although the congregation was about 20, ages ranged from 8-80!
