Guernsey Lifeboat at rest

Sunny day and quite warm.
I am drawn to bright colour I'm afraid...may need some therapy 8-)
Hence I could not resist blipping the Guernsey lifeboat against a St Peter Port backdrop.
Also shows our marine ambulance the Flying Christine, which is used to collect any medical casualties from the outlying islands. She was built by Seaward Marine in Guernsey and has a speed of 16-25knts.
I remember the days when the original Flying Christine, built of marine ply was probably the fastest boat in the area but that was a long time ago. I believe she was a retired seaplane tender from WW2 and she would have had a top speed of around 30knts.
End of history lesson for today!
