Undercliff walk

Walkies today was at Birling Gap, not far from Beachy Head. Piggy didn't like the open steps so she was carried down. Emily was concentrating so hard she passed another dog on one flight without noticing.

A short while into the walk Emily found a guillemot to chase. As it was oily and seemed unable able to fly Martin scooped it up and carried it up the stairs in one hand with Piggy tucked under the other arm hanging on to Dave's lead. I had to carry Emily up and encourage a nervous Storm. Not good on dodgy knees! I took the dogs back to the car while Martin found a staff member to leave the guillemot with. Storm and Emily showed an unhealthy interest in the poor bird so we didn't want to take it ourselves to a rescue centre.

We might have cut our walk short but we did our good deed for the day.
