Spending, walking, dining, drinking
The annual Parks and Recreation style "treat yo'self" moment for a couple of hours this morning shopping in Aberdeen for Dave and I.
Late afternoon long and winding walk round the Haddo grounds while Tess and Grandma Stuart headed off to a cupcake icing class at Mrs Smith's as part of Tess' Christmas present.
The weather is transitioning, spring is cheeky two-stepping it's easeful way towards us. Slowly, like the sunset, which was just beautiful, as were the iced cupcakes.
And at night, a catch up with Rhona, bagging some last minute food (very nice veggie chilli bowl) from BYOB FoodStory, (a wee bit of how Edinburgh does things finally arriving in the granite city) to down a few liquid libations, actually a fair amount to make me more than just tipsy by the time I rolled home at 2 am, as I called every phone in the house to wake up poor Dave to let me in.
I'm rarely in town, but I'm still reeling at buying two glasses of wine and a Diet Coke for £17 at the braided fig. What is that all about, were the grapes feet-pressed by Thor or Stanley Tucci? No, I bet they weren't. Normal prices were resumed at Under the Hammer.
Thanks to Rhona, and apologies to Dave for crashing in at 2am as though it was time to party with Prince like it was 1999.
