Perfect Sunday

Some days just work out exactly as you plan them, some days turn out quite unexpectedly but are equal as rewarding. Today just seemed to work out perfectly for a Sunday. Up early for a crisp dog walk, household chores seen to and out for a very tasty brunch. D has become a little stir crazy confined to the house after his toe op so we felt he needed a wee treat and tea (me), coffee (D), sparkly hot chocolates (Ky and Josh), toast and cooked breakfast was just the thing. Home and Coco was walked again, Ky took a deep breath and redid the homework that had been lost on her laptop yesterday and we prepared for the week ahead.
We've just finished a roast dinner (I'm rarely allowed to make a roast dinner) and I have to say that I may even have got this gravy thing sorted! Best bit of a roast dinner is next day lunch, Ky is actually looking forward to the chicken salad she's made herself  - much tastier than school dinners.
Feeling rather smug that we are all sorted for the week ahead, time to cuddled up with my book and a small glass of red wine!
