Aurochs & co.

We visited the museum centre Vapriikki in Tampere today. There's now a very interesting exhibition about the animals of the Ice Age. The Aurochs (the forefather of today's cattle), the Smilodon (the saber-toothed tiger) and the Woolly Mammoth were among them, but there were many other interesting animals, as well as a family of Neanderthals and tools and jewels of the era.

Afterwards we had dinner at the Viking restaurant Harald. The last extra is my dessert, tar ice cream.
