Not-so-small croquettes
A busy at home day with quite a lot achieved, beds changed, food market and supermarket shopping and preparing for having friends for dinner - Carina from Norway and her husband Jorge, a Catalan. Carina did her MBA here with Bb 25 years ago (gulp!) and she was one of the few foreigners like us who stayed on in Barcelona. We only ever see each other at IESE (the business school) get togethers with us travelling and them having a busy life and three kids. We decided to put this right and put a dinner date in our diaries four months ago! Lovely night with lots to catch up on and we had spinach, pea and feta cheese salad (a favourite Jamie Oliver recipe) and then chicken, apples and onion casserole cooked in cider, served with broccoli. Carina provided lovely chocolate treats to go with the coffee.
The not-so-small croquettes shown here were what Bb and I had as a little snack out at lunchtime. They were double the size of average croquettes!
