fake isle

On Friday I abandoned the Long Boring Sweater that I am diligently knitting because I had to have new hat, I had to have it now, and it had to be stranded colour-work. It isn't a proper fair isle tammy like these beauties, partly because they would take much longer to make and partly because I couldn't stand Shetland wool against my neck or face. (Mine is alpaca, for soft townies like me .)

Anyway, it was done by Saturday afternoon and Grace agreed to model it without even any bribery being involved. My cup runneth over.
