Long and brilliant day

A fantastic day. It ended with a preview evening ahead of tomorrow's Geneva Motor Show press day. This car, the Vauxhall GT concept, was the star. Our hosts Vauxhall were in celebratory mood, because their latest Astra has just been named as 2016 European Car of the Year.

The extra photo is the car with which the day started, a vintage 1930 Vauxhall T Type 20/60 Coupe from a heritage collection normally housed at Luton. I was privileged to drive it this morning, the oldest of seven cars from across the ages on a two-day road trip through the Alps.
