Sunset over camp. The point from which the clouds are emanating is called Chad. He visits the high country each year, making the high camp rounds. He is like so many passers-through, gracing us with his presence for a day or two and then moseying on. Sunrise lies on the extremely popular 218-mile John Muir Trail, so visitors are frequent, if for ever so briefly a time.
