PROBUS

A consultant physician and his Chinese teacher wife (both retired) gave an excellent, thought provoking talk on China.

This is a new venture for me.   Probus Clubs are for retired PROfessional and BUSiness people.   They sprang out of Rotary and encourage the retired to enjoy a cup of coffee and a talk fortnightly, and without the formality or obligations of a service club.

The name does not come (in spite of rumours to the contrary) from Prostates Removed - Other Bits Under Suspicion.    Although, given the age and gender profile.....
