Trick Training

Today was interesting. For a number of reasons, of which I know just a few, such as no freestyle class is available around here and me not liking indoor venues very much anyway, mum has entered us into an Online Trick Training Class for Small Dogs! Emmy had something to do with it, of course. We have no idea what an online class is and how to do it, but mum said let's have a go, it could be fun! I said OK!

There are seven dog owners and ten or so dogs in the class, from Kiruna in the very north of Sweden to Trelleborg, along the south coast. Mum is not good at FB, but had to write a presentation and upload a nice picture. And today was Day One! We got the first lesson as a digital booklet and an instruction movie. We're supposed to work on it, ask questions, and upload videos to show our progress. Mum has just realised this.... I'm fine with that, I don't understand the problem.

Well, we needed to get started right away, that much was clear. "Variations of the eight". Right. I know the eight, walking in an eight around mum's legs. This was trickier, and involved mum sitting down so I could walk under her legs and around her body. She soon fell over, and I ended up on her tummy, wondering very much if this was how it was supposed to be.
We brought out the clicker for the first time in a while. Could be useful. There is lots of work ahead!
